Buck Rogers: Deer having sex.
I thought that Buck Rodgers was known for sleeping for a very long time,
then battling aliens, not for having sex.

In one version, Buck sleeps from 1927 to 2419 in a mine shaft, then he
plays a key role in exterminating an alien/human hybrid race that had
taken over the world. He starts by getting the idea of shooting down
alien aircraft by firing rockets into their repulser beams, causing them
to crash.

In another version, Buck sleeps from the late 20th century to the late
25th century in the asteroid belt, then thwarts a plot by human
colonists to invade Earth.

I like the FX in the very early ones. Fireworks for the exhaust of the
spacecraft together with the sound of an old fashioned electromechanical
buzzer. Very quaint.

Big deal again!!

A snippit of information - or rather a 'don't snippit without looking it up
first!' piece of information -

From Onelook dick shunnery:

Quick definitions (Deal)

noun: a plank of softwood (fir or pine board)

(also used for the timber in general, whatever shape.)

So fir - so good!

I don't look forward to swimming in a Liverpool.
I'm quite symp-hepatic to that idea.
I think that our nation is losing its Seoul in the fight
against
terrorism.
IRAte that a rather pessimistic pun.
Irate: Internet price.
Ireland: Nation of angry people.
Berate: Price of angry bee.
Aerate: Price of a wig - and if it's a cheap one - it's a small
price
toupee!
Aeration: Rationing of oxygen in a Lunar colony.
Or on Mars, where we see Arnie in total wreak all!
If I Totally Recall, the protagonist activated an air plant on Mars,
liberating
it from tyranny.
All plants from mosses to rain forest trees are air plants. They all
absorb
carbon dioxide, keep the carbon to construct themselves and give off the
oxygen for us to breathe.
That's why it's so damned stupid to let the logging companies continue
to
strip the rain forests!
The air plant in Total Recall was a machine built by an alien race as a
test
for humanity. If humans activated it wrongly or blew it up, the sun
would
explode!
I don't remember that last bit from the film - unless it was something the
villains said that I missed. Was there a book it was in?
It was in the book, written by Piers Anthony, the only Anthony book I know of
that's been made into a movie!

Why did the man take a pencil to bed?
To draw the curtains.
If he had though himself to actually be the curtains, he
should
have pulled himself together!
He did, but he draped himself over the bed. By the way, the

Did it comforter him to do that, or was it a result of some sort
